Too good to be true in this case. Winning three straight games got to be too much to handle for the Miami Dolphins.
It is always a tough loss after losing to a game winning field goal but on this Thanksgiving the turkey did not sit well in my stomach after seeing kicker Dan Bailey kick through the uprights with no time left on the clock in the game.
Great performance just bad luck. I thought at the end of the third quarter the Dolphins could have went for two but it’s too close to call with a fourth quarter still left to play. The way the game was going it was a tough call because Miami’s defense was on the money.
The defense came to play just giving up 20 points (two field goals), grabbing two interceptions, and count a sack to defensive end Cameron Wake.
Miami’s offense was mediocre. Rushing for 89 yards probably doesn’t get the job but give credit to the Dallas Cowboys for holding down the line.
Fumbling the ball became a pattern for quarterback Matt Moore as he recorded three total. In which he lost one to Dallas’ defensive end DeMarcus Ware at the end of the half under four minutes that gave Dallas time left to score. Moore still put up 288 yards and a touchdown.
With five games left in the 2011-12 season the Dolphins reduce to 3-8 and Dallas improves to 7-4. Seeing how eight wins probably won’t grant the Dolphins a wild card spot. The Cowboys are the sure leader in NFC East and Romo has this team rolling starting to get on the right track.
Well with the loss life goes on and the wild card chances are slim but are still alive. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, hope it was a good one!
