Through the review of the play, Roethlisberger got the ball knocked out of his hands by cornerback Chis Clemons before the quarterback crossed the goal line. Clearly on replay a Dolphin’s defensive lineman recovered the football. With that said, Steratore stated the ball did come out of the player’s hand before the quarterback crossed the goal line. However, there is inconclusive evidence showing a Miami Dolphin recovering the football.
The ball went over to the Steelers for fourth down. A field goal was good in the end. With two minutes to play in the game I could tell the Dolphins were out of sync due to the call. The Dolphins thought they had the game wrapped up with the recovery of the fumble.
In conclusion, the Steelers won 23-22. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had 290 yards and 2 TDs. Hines Ward was leading receiver with 131 yards and recorded a touchdown.
The Dolphins had a tough go due to the fact they scored off field goals in their first three scoring possessions, inside the red zone. Quarterback Chad Henne didn’t have that bad of a game. He through for 249 yards and threw 1 TD. Davone Bess rose to the occasion as the Dolphin’s best receiver Brandon Marshall didn’t get many looks.
Tough game as the Miami Dolphins are winless at home this season but they are undefeated on the road. Luckily, we are only at the halfway mark and there is still room for improvement.
